Solar photovoltaics, crowned as “the new king of electricity” by the International Energy Agency, is an unabatedly growing market. In recent years, soiling has come to the fore of PV plant operators, especially in arid and semi-arid areas.

When we were developing our soiling monitoring system DustIQ, we learned a lot about the complex phenomenon that soiling is – and its huge impact on PV plant performance. In this new application note, we compiled some of the sources we found useful and added our own experience.
